Environmental factors have their part to play in our skin health and unfortunately Leamington Spa has just been named one of the UK’s most polluted towns. Dirt and grime from the air won’t just give you a tired or dull complexion, but may possibly even exacerbate the signs of ageing.
Have you recently noticed lines on your upper face; on your forehead, between your eyebrows, or to the sides of your eyes, that have become more pronounced? Look at them in the mirror and then cover them with your hand. You’d be amazed at how rejuvenating removing just one or two of these deep creases can be. Botox from our Leamington Spa clinic can remove these wrinkles in an effective and non-invasive way.
How does Botox work?
Botox is an anti-ageing injectable treatment that involves Botulinum Toxin being administered under the skin in key, target areas of the face to temporarily halt muscle contraction. If certain muscles are unable to contract, then lines will be unable to form. Wrinkles begin to appear when our collagen levels start to decrease; usually in our early 30s. Botox won’t cause an increase in collagen; which keeps skin firm, tight and youthful looking, but will remove the signs of a collagen reduction.
You will first notice the results of your Botox treatment 2-3 days following treatment, but the complete results won’t be visible until 12-14 days later. They will remain in effect for 3-4 months, but with regular top-ups, you’ll notice that the effects remain in place for longer.
How will you look following Botox treatment at our Leamington Spa practice?
The forehead lines, frown lines or crows feet that you wanted removed should be gone following Botox treatment. The skin on your upper face will be smoother, but because our practitioners are highly trained in applying a less-is-more approach, your new youthful appearance will be very natural looking.
Botox treatment has an excellent safety record and is carried out by experienced professionals. To find out more about how you could look following Botox treatment, please get in touch to book a consultation.
